
Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 has made one addition to their team squad.
Middle-order batsman Saud Shakeel has been included in Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 squad and Tayyab Tahir has been named as a traveling reserve.
Shakeel was not part of the initial 17-man squad and was the 18th member of the ODI squad for the bilateral series between Afghanistan. Tahir, who was initially in the squad, did not play in the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan. He will travel with the team as a reserve player during the Asia Cup.
Shakil, who made a comeback to the ODI squad for the Afghanistan series, played a solitary game and scored nine runs.
Pakistan will play their first match in Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 against Nepal on August 30 in Multan. The team will reach Multan on August 27 with Babar Azam, Imamul Haq and Naseem Shah joining the group on Monday evening.
