The theater was packed with enthusiastic fans, and the film exceeded my expectations, setting a high standard for future entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). While subsequent MCU films have surpassed it as my personal favorites, “The Avengers” remains a cornerstone of superhero team-up movies.
Before “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” there was the original “Avengers,” a film that introduced a large ensemble of lead characters from previous MCU entries for a grand cinematic spectacle. The only character who feels underdeveloped is Clint Barton/Hawkeye, portrayed by Jeremy Renner, due to limited screen time.
